Away from the host

While reading new email then new RSS feeds via my Dell Axim PDA, I just got a thought: will the further advance of those distributed technology will cannilibization of the provider's own traffic, for example, Google. After using google find a good list of websites fit my interest, the frequence I am using GOogle search is significant less. While this doesn't hurt Google's branding, and in a way, it even icnreased Google's stickness. But so far, clearly google makes less money from Google Reader and Gmail, compare to Google search.

Accidentally, I found this post "Everything Everywhere" from my Google Reader RSS list, from Fred Wilson, A NYC-based VC.
